The main business of the Federation for a Sustainable Environment is to represent the interests of ordinary people in understanding and defending their constitutional rights, which specifically include Section 24 of the constitution by having an environment that,
is not harmful to health and well being
is protected for present future generations, and
by implementing fully the legislation and other measures available to,
prevent pollution and ecological degradation
promote conservation
ensure ecological sustainable development and use of natural resources, and
promote justifiable social and economical development.
And Section 33 of the Constitution by having a procedural process whereby administrative decisions are;
lawful, reasonable and fair to all parties; and
supplies written reasons to adversely affected parties.
