Facilitated tour conducted with the Global Challenges Research Fund’s (GCRF) Mine Dust & Health Network Stakeholders

The FSE facilitated and conducted a tour on Monday, the 28th of March, 2022 with the Global Challenges Research Fund’s (GCRF) Mine Dust & Health Network Stakeholders of the Mintails Group of Companies’ operations, Harmony Gold Mine’s Doornkop Tailings Storage Facility, Gold Fields’ South Deep Mine’s Doornpoort Tailings Storage Facility, DRDGold’s reclamation operations and Sibanye-Stillwater’s reclamation operations.
The FSE hereby wishes to express its sincere thanks to the mining companies for hosting us, allowing us access to their tailings storage facilities, their hospitality, the transport they provided onto and around the Tailings Storage Facilities, and availing themselves to answer our questions.
